DIY Reed Diffuser - How to Make a Reed Diffuser For Essential Oils

We love burning scented candles, but if you need to keep a room smelling fresh 24/7, nothing beats a reed diffuser. The best part? They're SUPER easy to DIY—all you need are a few basic ingredients (most of which you probably have in your cupboard), a pretty bottle or other narrow-necked container to put them in, and a handful of reeds to get the scent wafting through your space.

1. Pour 1/2 cup carrier oil into measuring cup.

2. Add approximately 25-30 drops of your favorite essential oils (we used eucalyptus, lavender and lemongrass; check out this link for more ideas).

3. Add 1 tbsp rubbing alcohol or vodka.

4. Mix well and pour into diffuser bottle, using a funnel if needed. (Don't worry if it looks a little cloudy, it will become more clear as it settles.)

5. Insert a handful of reeds into bottle.

And that's it! To keep the scent fresh, turn the reeds over every few days.
